Just got here. Seems I'm always late at finding things.
I saw Eagle's works at IAP and was awestruck. What artistry!
In about February I think it was, I was trying to get started in making pens and was looking for guidance.
Eagle sent me an e-mail right off. He laughed at my comment that it was pen-making, not rocket science.
I got the impression there was a nerve struck, but was never quite sure which way... After seeing his work more and more
Rocket science is only science and artistry has no bounds!
He welcomed me to call him at any time with my questions. He said phone calls were easier than typing.
He answered most of my questions in such short order and in ways that I felt dumb for having them, but he
always assured me that it would all come together in time.
Thank you for this site. What a great way to honor the man and his work!

Welcome! I can't believe Eagle answered your questions in short order. The conversations I had with Eagle he was always a bit long winded. Informative, but long winded.  Grin

by short-order I meant straight to the point. It made me see that he truly knew what he was talking about, and even better   knew what I was TRYING to talk about
He said to call him and have me his number, but I never did. He said typing was a pain and he'd rather just tell me that type it out.  I wish I had made that phone call, just to thank him.
How odd, I've always thought, that with his artistry and ability, he took the time to answer my simpleton, basic questions, and worked to get me started...  I always wanted to thank him for that.
Kinda like a surgeon stopping to put a bandaid on a scraped knee
I'm envious of those of you who knew him, and appreciative of the family members that shared him. Thank you.

Welcome!  Like Bruce, I don't believe I ever had a short conversation with Eagle.  I sure wish I could have another one, though.

I also never had a short conversation with him when it came to how he made his blanks.

Glad to have you here.

WOW a short conversation with Eagle now that is a thing that was rare. LOL Grin  I dont think I can remember any type of short conversation with him even after I grew up. Eagle always had to add and add and add to any topic that I discussed with him . In my own way I absorbed ever bit of information he offered good, bad, or indifferent. Welcome to the party.
