Ok, no apologies for the finish. The wood IS sealed but the finish is matt.......

I couldn't believe how much the wood dissapeared while turning. When I trimmed it after putting the tube in, the wood actually went passed the ends of the blank.  I reckon that if I made it B2B then it would have virtually dissapeared altogether.


Right Lou, clear off the table saw and start on YOUR second one.  Grin

Ed, LOL ( and a sore point too ) yep, it's a kit. I saved up my pennies and bought a load of kits to sell, but now have nothing to dress them in.................

But I must admit that even with the crappy mat finish, I actually like this one too. The UK guys are having a meeting near the end of the month and Mark Ligget has promised to teach me how to do a decent finish. He really is good with the CA and Enduro.

I've always like Olivewood, Bocote and ( I just forgot the name of that other dark one )

hang on a minute while I think..........
