I like it. I like the colors as well but most I like the swirls.  They are really different.  I hope you finish it into the pen so we can all see it finished  Very nice job.

Looks pretty cool Keith. What were you aiming for? If it's what I think it is then you'd have to be a magician to pull it off.
Am I correct and there are 8 cuts just in the cap end? 5 halves plus 3 full cuts?

I tell you what though, I glad it won't be me judging the pens made so far. I hope we get dozens more before closing date. Grin

Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone.  Smiley

I'm trying to make an Eagle Feathers pen.  I think I made the cuts too deep and so the tails of the feathers started to meet  Sad

I think I have the angle of the cuts right, but I'll only know that for sure once I get the depth of them correct.  The blank was six sided but I only segmented three sides as it was a prototype.

My main goal was to get a jig set up and to figure out the steps and procedures, which I think I have done.

Gotta love those jigs hey Steven  Grin

That is pretty cool Keith.  Looks like a bunch of us could use a little help from above.  I hope to post something soon.  My idea is taking way longer than I thought, but gives me more time to reflect on our old friend and that's not a bad thing.  I too am learning some techniques that I will probably use for years to come.

Try cut your blank 1, 3, 5, the other end 2,4,6,
spacing is .075, all spacer must be the same

I think it looks mystical.  Turn it into a pen!
