2 years.

Well I am still up so for me it is still the 4th of July (even though the clock has gone well past 12:00). It is so hard to believe you have been gone an entire 2 years - it still seems like only yesterday when we all were having a marathon chat while working in the shops. We miss you, those calls - especially the ones when you were bored driving home and just wanted a friend to talk to.
I spent some of today watching Mike turn what may be one of the last blanks you created - it is one we discussed and bounced ideas around about. Your lovely wife found it, wrapped in gauze and had no idea what was inside .... but we were blessed to be able to take the journey of turning your work, this one last time. There were times I couldn't watch, for the tears in my eyes and others because of the fear that gripped me should anything go wrong. Yet it was so fitting that on this day, your creation should take on a life of its own. Watching it evolve from what seems like a concrete cocoon into a beautiful "butterfly" brought back so many memories - and once again reminded us of the depth of the hole that is left in our world without you in it.

You are missed by so many, you were a friend to those who took the time to get to know you and you meant more in the lives of most than you could possibly have ever know.
