I added a "wall of fame" to the final page to show the first 10 solvers' names - so far only "Skarabajo" of the TwistyPuzzles forums has solved it AFAIK.
And, he did it the first day after it was published, with no hints at all. He told me he likes this kind of riddle-based puzzle and really enjoyed it.
So, I have an existence proof that the clues
can work as designed

It's tough when designing this type of thing to judge whether a clue is too easy or too hard -
I know exactly how to find the answers using web tools and only online resources (though I did check a book out of the library for the hell of it), and I believe all the clues are fair... but, as Nick Baxter told me, getting stuck = no fun, so I suspect some folks hit a wall and give up in frustration. Oh, well.
For those who are stuck - in general, don't forget to explore:
google
google images
other google tools
yahoo answers
amazon
wikipedia
any links on the clue page itself
I intended for solvers to have to read and think - I learned a bunch of things about Halloween that I didn't know. The associations that lead from one page to the next are hiding in plain sight.
