Roby, I have only seen that box on photos and had one in my hands for about 30 seconds.  The success of this mission will rest on your input with some information/plan/photos.

Let me know when you have a good space of time to tackle it.  I will just send one out to you.  It is complex enough that any pictures I sent would not be much help.  My pride in that puzzle is that I did not use any glue on it, so it is as close to being an Amish puzzle as any I have made.  Still, the box can be reprodued for a lot less time and expense if glue is used.

Ou Toppie, time for you to put everything else aside and take Roby up on his offer  Cool

There's no doubt  Grin

You know you mentioned your 'Stickman Elephant' and I really wish I did have the time to tackle it, but....I haven't been in the shop in months and that trend is likely to continue for some time  Sad

For something like the Borg Box I would put aside a bit of time.  I'm a "patient" man.  I only had to wait 6 years to scrape enough courage together to approach Bill to make a Binary Burr.  The one thing I'm not too sure about is Roby sending the Box here.

My suggestion would be to ship it in pieces... Wink

My point is that I can see both sides of the issue, but for me personally you can't treat any art form as a business or you cease to be an artist.  Then you become a businessman, and the artistic value of the product suffers.  I suppose that we are actually in agreement on that.

I fully agree indeed. Someone of you, I do not remember who was, stressed the fact that Stewart Coffin became even more famous and his puzzles highly appreciated and valued since he left freely (without royalties) copy them and freely circulate his PWPD. An example that diffusion of ideas may actually enhance the "value" of an artist rather than diminishing it, even from a "business" point of view.

Happy to have contributed to stimulate such a discussion.   Wink

Rolly, it really is a good subject, and I am honstly glad that it was brought up.
I am happy of hearing so, thank you.  I was worried ..... and now why the discussion stopped?
Have I written something wrong this time instead?

Sorry, I had to go to the store.  I think that for a while there, we had more posts in one hour than we have had all week.  Now, we need to get some other subjects going as well.
