My first IPP was fantastic. Here are some photos of my new additions.

You can see all the individual pictures here: http://picasaweb.google.com/JeffreyAurand/IPP29PuzzleAcquisitions#

There are a few more puzzles to be delivered - and I can't wait! I'll post photos when they arrive.

here the table with the new puzzles I could exchange during the official exchange at the IPP ; every participant made the exchange with everybodoy of the 96 other participants;

John,

I don't have a picture of that one open, and I'm not sure I'd want to post it out of respect for the puzzle designer. If you see the cylinder open, you understand how it works.

What is the etiquette for these situations? Anyone have an opinion?

Jeff I also purchase Sandfield's Unlocked Drawer Puzzle box, OOOOOOooooo that's a sneaky one, and it had me going for quite a while  Grin  How did you like Perry's "Petite Fours"  I didn't purchase them, do you find that the solutions vary greatly?

Jeff, I personally would not post a photo of an opened puzzle if it gave away the solution.  I guess you could provide a spoiler link so that those who wished to see the puzzle opened could do so.

Peter, I bought the petit fours as well.  Their solutions vary significantly from each other.

I agree with Jim here,  out of respect for designers I don't think solutions should be publicly posted.  I have privately email John!

Thanks Jim for the info on Perry's boxes, Oooo so many puzzles, so little money  Grin  I have started saving now for future IPP's  Grin

Yeah, Jim is right on about that!   Wink  Any sort of pic that would give away the solution should be done by private email... Cool

Peter,

Solutions vary greatly - they are very well made puzzles. I did have a problem with one of mine, but I was able to address the issue. I think it was a sticking problem due to the finish.

I had opened the Openable Drawer at Jim's a while ago. When I picked up the puzzle I couldn't remember the solution! Took me a while to remember how to open it. Kathleen does a great job making those - very tight, no info based on seams. Super sneaky.

More importantly, are you working on any new designs? I for one would still like to see the Trillium box produced for sale!

Hi Jeff,   Thanks for the information on the "Petite Fours",  I am now thinking I should have also purchased these boxes  Grin  I purchased Eric's new Tiered box instead and I was really impressed with his prototype he had at IPP.  Can't wait for it to arrive.  I also am very impressed with Kathleen's work, her fit is perfection!

I have several ideas for puzzle boxes and have been busy working on design ideas.  My main goal is too keep my hobby of wood working fun and not turn it into a job, at this point I have many people wanting me to produce copies of the Trillium Box, I would love to make them for all those that want one, but currently don't have the time.  Right now my day job has me really busy and I am working on the Canadian version of "So You Think You Can Dance"  I will have to see what the future holds for me and decide at that point.  I have kept a list of those that are interested and will definitely let all know if I make several copies.

Peter,

Definitely keep it fun! Don't let us pressure you into anything. (Having said that, can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make me a Trillium box?!?)

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Yipes, what is that weird metal puzzle that looks like a mine?  Is the objective to get the ball out?

That is Grand Collision designed by Doug Engel. It's a take-apart puzzle that separates into four pieces. An unusual puzzle for me as I tend to focus on wooden puzzle boxes.
