I had an absolute blast last night at the 1st ever "Toronto Canada Puzzle Party"  I happened one day to come across a blog about a past IPP by fellow Canadian Tanya Thompson.  The blog had several photos of puzzlers that I had read about and spoken to online but had never met.  I decided to write to Tanya to thank her for putting up the photos.  She was very happy to receive my email and told me about the 1st Toronto puzzle party she was planning with another puzzler Nancy Vanstone.  The puzzle party took place last night and was absolutely fantastic!

One of the highlights of the night for me was the opportunity to play with an original Stewart Coffin Augmented Four Corners Puzzle  Shocked my favorite design of Stewarts!!!  So much puzzle so little time....  I didn't solving it  Roll Eyes  but now having played with one I will definitely keep my eye open for a copy of one at IPP, A truly fantastic design!!!

Jerry Slocum also sent Tanya a Dutch copy of his latest book "The Ultimate Puzzlebook - The Best Puzzles in the World" which she had brought with her, I was excited to see our very own Robert Yarger's Stickman #3 in the book on page 43, and it was the highlight of the evening for everyone when I pulled Robert's #3 out of the box of puzzles I had brought and passed it around the table.   Everyone was in awe, as I am of it's amazing construction!!!  Fantastic Robert!, absolutely deserves to be in a book titled "The Best Puzzles In The World"!!!

Another highlight of the evening for me was getting to leaf through last years IPP 28 souvenir book that Tanya had brought to the party.  The creators of this book did an amazing job creating it!!!  An absolutely fantastic book with photos of all the people, places, and puzzles that were at IPP 28.  It was cool for me to leaf through and see my "Bank Heist" Competition entry in the book, very cool!

All and all the 1st Toronto Puzzle party was a great time.  I am looking forward to the 2nd, and if anyone is traveling through the Toronto area let me know and we will get an invite out to you!

Below are some photos from the evening!

Grin Tanya mentioned that Jerry said we should see and English version by late this year!  From the photos alone I would buy this book!, can't wait to read what it says about the puzzles  Grin
