Cactus Fountain Pen-Closed End

Well, I tried my hand at the "mermaid" and the poor dear suffered very badly at my hands, so I now this closed end Churchill in Cactus. I tried a couple of firsts for me, the grip is inspired by an article on the Pen Maker's Guild website by Rich Kleinhenz "Custom made grip" he descibes a Gentlemans pen grip and I used those principles on the Churchill, the Churchill doesn't leave much room to play with in shaping the grip and in future I will leave a little more meat on the curve. After my disaster on the mermaid, I think I now have a handle on the invisible clip. I also used a new mandrel made by Les Brindley in New Zealand and that was easy to use also.
Meanwhile, here it is, and hope you like it, your comments are welcome, Amos

Very well done Amos! Is that the 'kiwi' mandrel in the last pic?

Is that really cactus or just some name that you guys came up with for a partucular substance. IT looks totally awesome. I must know if it is something that I can obtain for my boxes. I am blown away. I tell you guys that your pens are nice, and they are, but wow that is cool.

Thanks,
I was hoping that it would not only come in pen blank form. The stuff looks really wild.
