I've often wondered.  Satisify my curiosity.  What does Canuck stand for or mean?  I assume that "Can-" is for Canada.  What is "Nuk"?

You are missing a Drum Sander  Grin Grin

Imagine trying to get 5 different woods in 1 puzzle with exact thickness

Its invaluable with woods of wavy grain, laminations and veneers

Down side is justifying the cost and maintenence with sand paper changing

Mines still sitting there at work, must get back to playing on it, great stress  therapy

Canuck?  look up wikipedia

The 'Stickman book" and other unknowns, great idea, hey, we can be like the Karakuri group, and rival them

Have a drum sander.  Use it to launch things across the woodshop.  pinch a bard between it and another board and you have a projectile.  My drum sander fits onto my widow maker.

Well here's a general meaning:

The Random House Dictionary notes that: "The term Canuck is first recorded about 1835 as an Americanism, originally referring specifically to a French Canadian. This was probably the original meaning, though in Canada and other countries, "Canuck" refers to a Canadian."

When I was a kid, there was a group of Canadian skiers on the world circuit, most notably Steve Podborski nicknamed the 'Crazy Canucks'...somehow they seemed to fit the meaning so well... Grin

Of course we also have a Canadian hockey team named the 'Vancouver Canucks' on the west coast....

John, you are slipping.  Notice my past post.  I re-read it this morning and could not stop laughing.  "Pinch a bard between it,"  Ha, that is just plain messed up.  I suddenly had this image of a menstrul being snagged by a drum sander and being flung up agains the wall, with his little lute smashing against the wall.  Oh, but you usually call me out on such misprints.  You might be loosing your touch.

Ok, I will let this one slide, but now I have to go find a menstrul.  I have the sudden desire to "show him my woodshop".  Heh Heh.
