Wow!!! Shocked is this the one that you were cutting up all the wood for? How thick are each of those pieces?  Because I have no idea how big it is, the lighter parts look very fragile. Maybe one day I'll be able to do something like that Undecided

You will need to get shares in Sappi for all the wood you use!! Grin

I keep seeing you puzzlers put this sort of code up.  What does it mean?   Huh?

Johan, the puzzle looks great.  I have a bunch of Rhodesian Teak.  It is pretty dear to my heart as that is where I was born.  It is beautiful wood.  I think it is more PC now to call it Zambezi Teak  Grin

Nope, that is an in betweener to satisfy my curiosity.

The unit size is 15x15x15 mm, that is the size of a corner block.  Overall size is 120x120x120mm.

The fragility is overcome by drilling holes and putting a dowel through so as to strengthen some of the joints.  See example attached. (Extreme Torture - Frans de Vreugd) That's why Bernhard call me "The Pin King"

The code means that it takes 47 moves to romove the first piece, 30 for the next, etc., etc. Tongue Tongue

I can assure you I will not call it Zimbabwe Teak, however politically incorrect that may be. Grin Grin

47 moves to remove the first piece. Man that is insane! I think I would have to keep a log book to solve a puzzle like that. Hell it takes me half an hour just to put the pentominoes back in the box. A puzzle like that would be a vocation.

You can always use "the universal level reducer":

Johan,
My box is a single level. I've actually got a bunch of solutions for putting it back in the box taped in an envelope to the bottom of the box for when I don't have time to puzzle it out. It came with a booklet of progressions (what to make when you add one more piece) that I play with every couple of months. I like your set, first one I've seen made in metal and hand made at that. Thats definately a keeper.

Attached the blocks for 2 puzzles, THAT puzzle. 762 blocks and 9144 edges.

Leap, what is your name?  I've made this about 26 years ago.  Cut it with a junior hacksaw out of 6mm aluminium plate.  In this box configuration, there are 3940 different ways of packing it in the box.

Johan,
The name is Phil,
Leap is an acronym of the first letters of my families names. Lisa, Emily, Amanda, Phil. The girls came up with it. With almost 4 thousand ways to put it in the box you think I could come up with one in no time when I'm through playing but nooo!
