Here's another link to famed puzzlemaker Allan Boardman's book:
http://www.amazon.com/Puzzle-Projects-Woodworkers-Allan-Boardman/dp/1933502118/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239981066&sr=1-4#
I now have this book now and highly recommend it, Allan's work is top notch!!

Download a copy of Stewart's Puzzle Craft books. Both the '85 and the '92 versions can be found in pdf format at
http://www.puzzleworld.org/PuzzleWorld/art/articles.htm
. Here you can find some easy to make puzzles like pentominoes, Coffin's Half Hour, and several other puzzles based on cubes.

От игры к знаниям
(pronounced as 'Ot Igry k Znaniyam' and to be translated: 'From Games to Knowledge'): maybe not of general interest, but a 'nice to know/have' Russian book by Efim Markovich Minskin the author of '
Pionerskaya Igroteka
' (cf. Stewart Coffin's 1985 edition of Puzzle Craft). In fact the contents of both these books are pretty much the same:
Download the book (ZIP file) at
http://publ.lib.ru/ARCHIVES/M/MINSKIN_Efim_Markovich/_Minskin_E._M..html#02
Of course you can download the other book as well, but that one is more about outdoor games and contains very few puzzles.
However you'll need a DJVU reader to be able to 'read' them. So download a suitable desktop viewer here:

Sliding Piece Puzzles
by Edward Hordern: Out of print for many years now, but still 'the bible' for all sliding block puzzle enthousiasts. Extremely hard to find and if you ever come across a copy be prepared to pay some $300 (or much more).
The good news is that you can download a PDF version here:

Which one?
I tested both and didn't have any problems.

I converted this one to PDF and made it (temporarily) available for download:
http://users.telenet.be/RKB/Downloads/Ot%20Igry%20k%20Znaniyam%20(Efim%20Minskin%201987).pdf
Beware! The file will only be online as long as I do not need the webspace for other stuff.

If I had to translate the book, it would become a matter of "dovyeryai, no provyeryai !" *
