G'day fellas
A big g'day from down under. My name is Darren, i go by bdar at IAP
which i have been AWOL for quite some time. Also at TPS and the
Aussie Ubeat forum in Australia. first met Eagle on the IAP and I posted
a picture of a pen, I got flamed for all sorts of things finger prints, dust
you name it. Sorry but one of the reason I haven't been at IAP for a
while. I always thought it was about pen crafting, so did Eagle. He sent
a private message and told me what he thought of my pen crafting. A lot
of positives, came from his critique and he said if anything, he would be
honest in his appraisal. That he was.
We started talking a bit and don't know how it happened but I told eagle
I was one hard ugly son of a bitch and he could call me that. Next email
it said hey you ugly SOB - you said i could call you that. hahaha. So that is
how all my messages started from then on. We'd take it in turns with who
was brewing the coffee and who had the donuts.
So this is the Ugly SOB from Australia that was a friend to Eagle. So saddened
when I heard the news. May he be soaring high on the thermals watchuing over us

I'm sure he'll be there in spirit...

I would agree he will be there in spirit. Pens were what he loved to do and more and more I am seeing that he was not only a huge influence in my life but in many others.

Thank you for the story. I am grateful that you two had become friends. I know his spirit will be in Washington looking over the show smiling down.
