Very very nice!!!!  Wink

Suggestion: Make a square split cube with a hole where the pen fits with a bit of wrapping quite tight, one side filed with the right radius for the clip, clamp in the vice and bend.  Last bit bent with one of these pliers with the round ends you can use on a circlip!!!

Sheesh, even the hairybacks and rockspiders are smarter than that!  (Perhaps you could pre-bend the clip?)

Even "Oupa" knows us hairybacks can make plans!!!!   (Oupa = grandfather in Afrikaans.  At least thats better than a geriatric dodderer.  In an Oupa there's still a glimps left of recognizing a crack!!!!)  Grin Grin

'n Boer maak 'n plan, maar 'n Engelsman maak om reg. Grin

Johan, this is stainless steel and doesn't like to bend. I have a couple of pairs of rolling pliers but there is no way you can keep them closed while bending. That's why I used the two drill bits in the vice.  Once I got the bend started ( the easy bit ) I had to use a vice and two hands just to get it like it is.
My wife saw it this morning and all she said was.....'Hmmm...clip's too high, will you clean the oven today please?' Cry  Grin

PS, she enjoys reading your jokes more than she likes my pens. But she is a genuine Boerefrou anyway and doesn't know any better Grin

It is the first time I post about pens, Let me say that some of the creations I have seen by you, Lou, Amos, and other penmakers here are masterpieces of ART.
I was not aware of the working process for making a pen. I thought that a kit of the metallic parts had to be chosen first.... and on that basis, an exotic wood turned following the measurements of the kit...
Instead I saw wonderful inlays ... combination of composite materials turned to show beautiful patterns and now this amazing example of artistic creativity. Thank you for showing. I would have never imagined the work behind it

I am without words (and this is not my language) .... just:  you are true artists.  Chapeaux !!

I knew this was going to be one of your best pens Steven and you certainly lived up to me expectations. Shocked
I think you should do another one though, in dark blue to see what it looks like. Evil

PS  How's the oven coming up. Cool
