This is perhaps the "more original" of the puzzles I did in the sense that I took no inspiration from any other puzzle I saw. Rather I had the idea by reading about the icosian game of Sir Hamilton the famous irish mathematician. It is made by 20 identical pieces and 10 aluminum dowel. The aim is to devise the circuit that passing only once from each vertex of the 12hedron touches all of them and closes itself.
A name for it is still missing.
Casually Hamilton is also the F1 champion and run on circuits ... some wordplay can come out from this ... but recently I noticed that a single piece resembles the flatworms of a Escher drawing... then I thought "circuit of flatworms" but it does not fully convince me...

I would need some proposals from you....

PS Sorry for the size of the "thumbnail", I do not know why....
PPS If I will do another one I will use PMMA in place of Al

Not only that, but it should have only one surface. Cars would have to run above and below the asphalt strip.  Shocked I like Moebius and also Maze thank you.
I thought to 2010 italian circuit: hmm Monza? (the race circuit near Milan)
Why not F12 (from dodecahedron, joking on F1)?  Monza F12?   Formula dodeca?

Peter I like Alluminium too, but I think the next one will have transparent dowels in acrylic... In the circuit they should disappear.

Thank you again

PS John I will try to make one for the auction you mentioned me

PPS Now I see that I posted the link to the image directly, not to the thumbnails, sorry for that, it was midnight ...

Thank you, friends.
I am hearing news, probably you have not heard yet of it but last night an earthquake hit a city of central Italy (l'Aquila). Up to now victimis are several tens but  because of the magnitude and of the extension of the builinding fall, the final count may be probably hundreds.
50000 people cannot return in their houses tonight, bridges of motorway to reach the region are damaged... very sad situation

........
Try to do not think to the tragedy and back to the topic:
what do you think about:

pathience (from Hamiltonian PATH)
vertIgo    (vertexes on which I go)
path on edges
stock around the block (in the sense of wooden stock  Huh?)
pathfinder dodeca
twenty thirty (the pieces on the path vs the total number of edges)
dodecapath
dodecage

which one would you prefer? (consider that I cannot evaluate how they "sound" being not familiar with the language)
