I don't know if anyone besides me is in the New York City area, but if you are, I'm organizing a dinner on May 2nd at a Chinese restaurant in NYC. Everyone is welcome. We usually have food, socialize, play with puzzles people bring, and then play with more puzzles.
If you live nearby or happen to be in town that day, and you would like to come, email me at: bvk@pobox.com

I've done this a few times before, and there are usually 10-15 people, so it isn't a huge crowd, but we have fun.

Greetings bkuehner !

I just wished you could have been from my town in NH .
NH seems to be devoid of any other puzzlers except for a rare few I could probably count on one-half of my hand .
Sad

Bernhard, thanks. I definitely have John and Tom on my email list (and they are both coming).
And Games Magazine does not always have physical-puzzle-related articles, but Tom did have several very good articles on puzzle designers over the past few years, including Rocky Chiaro, Kagen Schaefer, Oskar, and Stewart Coffin.
