I posted a pic of this pen on IAP during the Bash. In the thread I said how it was difficult to see the pattern in the plastic and blamed my pic. I just left the pen laying around and today I saw that the pattern has become very visible. So I took another pic.
The material is 'bowling ball' resin. I've heard of wood changing colour or getting lighter or darker, but never imagined it could happen to plastic. Either that, or I'm going completely barmy Grin But I'm sure it has changed Shocked

Just north of Oban is a little town called Benderloch.  If you hang a left in Benderloch the road will take you to a private island with a hotel that was converted from a castle.  The hotel is called Isle of Eriska.  I worked there for about 3 or 4 months when I first started travelling.  I have many fond memories of Scotland, although I've never seen so much rain in my life!!

You are not kidding about the rain Keith. But you have to admit, that when the sun does eventually shine( and the midgies aren't biting), Scotland has to be right at the top of the list of most beautiful countries in the world.  I've lived in several places in Scotland as a kid before we went to SA.
My favourite is in and around Durness.( far north coast) We lived with my Grandfather for 3 years in a cottage that was right on the cliff edge. He was the caretaker of Smoo Caves before it was taken over by the University. My sister and I used to take American tourists around the caves for pocket money during the school holidays.  Ah, those were the days...... Grin
