Spoiler alert!!! Well I don't think I am really giving away the solution here, because if you watch the video I am pretty sure you won't be able to memorize the 324 moves  Shocked to open the box.  Check out the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5tc4cYYkYw  This impressive puzzle box was designed by Hiroshi Iwahara and more information is available here http://www.puzzleworld.org/PuzzleWorld/puz/super_cubi.htm An amazing puzzle box!

Holy Smoke!
I think he needs to  get a life!
Incredible mechanism, copy it Mr Papparatsi

I have heard of a short cut quick open way, as well, 3 or 4 moves
Don't know if some of them has it or not

Theres also the 1 move way , we all know that one

As a mathematician, I could only resist buying this for so long.  A man has his limits.  The solution is recursive and, hence, is not as difficult as the video makes it look.  Plus, the loose fit of the new series makes it even quicker to solve.  I will not be entering any speed competitions but I can solve mine in about 4 minutes.

BEAUTIFUL WORK MR. IWAHARA!!!

Jim, 4 minutes, wow! I am sure I would forget any moves after about the 3rd move  Grin I hear the box is based on the old Chinese rings style puzzles.  Impressive that it can be made into a box form!

Now that is cool, and perhaps overkill.  I could not help but notice that it is almost a duplicate mechanism as the Stickman No 8 puzzlebox.  I stopped short of quite so many moves (by about 280 moves).

I had a guy contact me a while back (yeah you know who you are you Austrailina nut job you) who wanted a puzzlebox for a pistol.  I thought, you're insane.  If somebody breaks into my home, I don't want to have to solve a 20 move puzzle to get my gun out.

Seriously, am I the only one that notices Roby's spelling blunders! Roll Eyes  And he's a published author, God help his proof readers Grin
