LOL Phil  Grin  You didn't think I'd give you a crappy nib did you!!!!!  But yes, you ARE lucky.  Grin When I met Lou a while ago, he gave me a whole herd of goodies and they only get used for very special occasions Wink

If Skippy puts in a crappy nib, he has to go back to work in Scotland for a fortnight.

I'm about 1-1/2 hours north.  Drop me a note if you are going to have some time.

Not 1 but 2 arrived yesterday from the Mull.  Thanks so much Andy.  They are wonderful examples of fine craftsmanship and I will treasure them in my collection.  My first internationals.  Love the touch of plaid in the boxes.

Am I LUCKY or what?? Grin

Mr Postman brought my package from Leap ( Philip ) and check out what I found inside!!!! Grin

First is a cool Sierra with what I think is Corian, but I'm not sure. My wife said 'Oooh!!....can I have that one?' I may be able to get some special 'mileage' out of this. Evil Second is really beautiful Jr Statesman in a classic acrylic. AND it's closed ended!!!  I wish I could remember the name of this acrylic, but if I'm not mistaken it is a highly sought after Italian style.

Phil, many many thanks!!! Looks like I'm gonna have to add another page to my site Grin

Ooo .. no.  I recognize that material. That's soapstone!
Real stone from a quarry.. not synthetic.

I know Phil was having some trouble working it, but it came out GREAT!

The acrylic is one of Mazzuccelli's from Italy, it some was sold on the IAP a while back, called Serpentine.

Very nice pens you have now got there Steven. The soapstone look really nice.

Hey Skip,
Glad you like them. Charlie and Andy are correct on the materials. Charlie should know about the soap stone as he gave me a box of the stuff. It is a bear to turn and wore out a carbide cutter in no time. I was trying to do a second closed end with the soap stone but ran out of time.

Yahoo!!!!!!  Postman has just been again Grin

This is one of the famous 'Crack Eggs' puzzles from Chinny Grin Exquisitely made and extremely clever in it's operation. I won't reveal how it operates, but let me tell you that is very clever Grin

Many thanks Stephen, I love it!!!
