Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person's lifetime. It is part of a group of disorders known as autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Today, 1 in 150 individuals is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined. My involvement in autism relates directly to friends (Don, Shirley, Todd, Dawn, Shane) who cope with the daily difficulties of raising an autistic child. Having been blessed with two healthy children, this is my way of giving back.

Beautiful native North American woods have been professionally dyed in the vibrant, traditional colors (dark blue, light blue, red and yellow) of the symbolic autism puzzle and stabilized for years of worry-free use. Black/gray puzzle pieces are inserted representing the missing pieces to the puzzle. The puzzle itself is made up of 32 separate pieces which are hand-set in the cylindrical shape, then glued in place and meticulously finished.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these pens will be donated to various charities involved in solving the “puzzle” of autism.
