Fixing your Tryknot

Seems like most everyone got one of these puzzles, and while they are almost in perfect working order, they did need some attention. The main problem I had with them was not getting the square frames perfectly lined up so that the inner box moves easily. This is easy to fix.
But a business card thickness of paper between the box and each frame. Put it in the microwave to soften the glue. and press them into place and let them cool. A few of them still seem a bit tight after than, and in that case you actually have to break off a segment of the frame that is pinching and increase its length slightly by glueing veneer to an end. When it is glued back together, any excess veneer is cut of.
Of course, you can take the inner box out and sand it down to size, but then it has to be relacquered and that is just a pain.
Let me know if there are any other problems, but that process should fix most of them, and even then the boxes will probably work as is.
Also, if one of the little red dots falls off in the process, just pop it back on while the glue is still warm, or add more glue if you want. It is not a big fix, but enought that I did not want to deal with it and could not selll it.
