Friends, old and new -

We're down to the last day for our fundraisers.  At midnight forum time on March 27, we will close the events.  Last call!

I write this with wet eyes.  So many of you have reached deep into your pockets and pocket books and contributed to the raffle, the swap or both.  Others, most particularly John Devost, have contributed magnificent personal items to the raffle.  I am moved beyond words by each person's generosity.  The milk of human kindness flows freely from the hearts of my dear friends on this forum.  In these difficult economic times, you have chosen to share what you have with those in need.

The funds generated will be sent to Lynn Prisavage, Eagle's widow, in total.  I am covering the PayPal fees in memory of my dear friend, so every dollar will help.  I won't divulge the personal details on how the proceeds will be used, but I can tell you that a portion of the proceeds will be used to purchase a grave marker to be placed at Eagle's gravesite in the Prisavage family plot in Connecticut.

On July 4, the one year anniversary of Eagle's passing, a commemorative wreath will be sent on behalf of each of you who have participated.  You have made a difference.  You continue to make a difference.  Thank you and may God bless each and every one of you.

I think my brother (and I) may have been the last to receive an Eagle blank.  He donated one to the fund raiser for my wife's cancer cost.  My brother gave it to me but I have not turned much until lately.  It is still in the original bag hanging on the wall overlooking my lathe.   I do plan on turning it within the next couple months.  I am sure it will take me some time and get my nerves going but it will be worth it.

I am in for 6 tickets, wish it could be more but the medical bills from MD Anderson keep a coming.
