Picture 12 - Top - bottom and right - I don't know the name of any of these puzzles.  You may recognize them, but I am not into geometric puzzles, so I don't have a clue.  I do know that they looked cool when they were together and are all made of quality wood and craftmanship.  Originally sold on cubicdissection.  Frankly, I don't have the patience to put them back together again, but all the pieces are there.  Whoever wants them and thinks they can get them together can have them

Hi Robert,

I'm interested in the puzzle at the bottom of the picture. It was designed by Oskar and is something I came up independently from him... although there may be some slight differences with my design. I've never seen the pieces until now and the picture is not very clear, but it appears that there are different pieces... at least one looks a bit like a key piece to me. My design, however, uses two sets of mirrored pieces.

Okay, just so everyone knows...I have placed dibs on both lots of offerings in pictures 12 and 13, however I just noticed RKB wants the bottom in picture 12, which I will send him if Robert agrees...

Now this has forced my hand somewhat and I have been patiently waiting to let all of you in on this but, I will be staging a raffle on this forum with ALL PROCEEDS going to 'Eagle's Family' care of Lynn (Eagle's widow).  The reason for the wait is because the IAP Pen forum that most of us Penfreaks belong to is currently having its February Birthday Bash so I didn't want to have conflicting fundraisers.  So with that being said I have asked that Robert to send me the items in Pics 12 and 13 so that I can submit them in this worthy cause, and you'll still have a shot at acquiring some fine puzzles, of course there'll be much more to come but you'll still have to wait a bit until I can put all this together!

Ry can you clarify which puzzle you're refering to in pic 12, the one on the very bottom is 'Locknut' designed by Stewart Coffin, so I'm assuming you mean the one on the right?

Come on folks, don't make me put dibs on everything here!!!  Robert has been very generous with all of this, and I sure would like some of this stuff but will hold off until you guys get a chance at some of it Grin

OK. Coffin's puzzle then. I guess I got confused with Oskar's IPP design competition trophy. The one on the right is Jim Gooch's Switchboard Burr.

Oh okay Ry...I'm awaiting Robert's reply, but I will send you that puzzle, any idea what that top puzzle is?  It should be easy to tell from the 'sold out gallery' on 'cubic' but of course I can't access that as I'm banned Lips Sealed

edit: Ry, I have a couple of drawings of the 'Oskar Trophy' puzzle and I'll send them along with the 'Locknut' puzzle...the 'Trophy Puzzle' is one seriously confusing coordinate motion puzzle took me a while to put together!! Wink

Don't know who designed the puzzle on the bottom, but it was really cool.  Fight it out.  Heck you could even put it in the library later if you wanted to share.  I did get it as a cubic trade a while back.  I never have come ahead on any of those.  Anyway, anybody except for John could check on past puzzles on cubic to see what it is.

Oh, I am not reading.  Fundraisers are nice.  Still, you all just work it out among yourselves.  I just don't want to toss the stuff in the trash.  I unloaded about 100lbls of puzzle pieces Saved for Chinny  Grin to my woodpile today.  These were the only ones that I saved back because I figured somebody would want them.  I'll send them to whoever, just let me know what you work out.

simply astonishing!
Top left -  not really anything that anyone would want, but I took a picture to show Chinney that he is not the only one to make geometric puzzle balls.  I made that one 4 years ago.  Free, but probably nobody wants it.
Why you calls ball this wonderful polyhedra?. I wish this dodecahedron!!
Sorry guys I am not understanding you: what is dib? a free bid?
I realize now that I joked about 'eagle' but he was a real person. I am very sorry for that. Someone may send few words (or pm) or indicate me a link in order of being informed and not fall again in misunderstandings?
I am also not sure of having well understood the John message in red, but do not waste words about it, I have to learn English besides learning making puzzles!
If anyone is interested in other Roby's treasures, I would be, but I will wait.....

Hi Roby

just back from my trip th the workshop in czech republic I saw your very generous offer;
I`would be interested in the Cross Puzzle Box ; in picture 12 I would like the puzzle on top
in picture 13 I would be interested in the box filling front right
If some of them would be possible please send them to John and I`ll balance what ever you want

all the best

Rolly, no worries it's okay....'Eagle' was a very talented woodworker who's accomplishments have never been duplicated and never will either!  Sadly he left us far too earlly Sad  Lou Metcalf started this forum as a memorial to commemorate his very dear friend, I'm sure no offense was taken over anything someone said, please enjoy the forum as I'm sure that's what 'Eagle' would have wanted!!  We're all here to learn from each other in a fun and happy atmosphere, so don't feel bad about anything, let's just keep up the chatter as I'm sure we're being watched by 'Eagle' soaring high above us.
