True, one man's trash is another man's treasure.  It is spring cleaning over at mushroom's home, and he has lots of stuff that need to find a home.  Sure, I could probably list most of this stuff at auction, but then I would have to fix it first.  Who better than a group of puzzle woodworkers to take care of minor repairs on puzzles that I will never get around to fixing myself.

You guys fight over the stuff any way that you see fit.  On most of it, all I ask for is postage.  Please designate any puzzles you are interested in by picture number and location in the picture.

Picture 1 - Bottom left  - a Douglas Engel that I got for my birthday from Dinar 2 years ago.  Free to a good home. Saved for 'Eagle' fundraiser
Bottom Right - small plastic barrell  - free to a good home. Saved for 'Eagle' fundraiser

Top left -  not really anything that anyone would want, but I took a picture to show Chinney that he is not the only one to make geometric puzzle balls.  I made that one 4 years ago.  Free, but probably nobody wants it.  Saved for Rolly
Top Right - Stickman Tryknot - belive it or not I actually have about 8 of these left over that I did not sell because they needed a minimal amount of repairs, but nothing that you guys could not tackle.  Origianlly, these sold for $510, but I will part with them for $50 each just because I don't want to mess with them.  They all have instruction booklets.

PLEASE NOTE: 8  'TRY-KNOT' PUZZLEBOXES AVAILABLE!

-One saved for Chinny + last remaining for Rolly (after Chinny has graciously put his Aussie touch on it, thanks Chinnomotto)
- One saved for Johan
-Two saved for Matt

This is a Stickman movint tile box.  It actually works the way it supposed to, however, due to a gluing snaffu you can't get into the second compartment.  My guess is that you could heat it up in the mircrowave and loosten the glue enough to get it free.  There is a bit of tear out on the bottom where I tried to force it with no avail.  It comes with a spare bottom panel just in case.  Again, the first compartment and the necessity of solving the moving tiles all works, it is just the second chamber that is a problem.  There is no instruction booklet with this one.  Free to anyone wanting to mess with fixing the second chamber access.

Most of this Stickman Checkmate puzzle is all assembled, but I never finished it.  It comes with a bunch of spare parts that are probably not necessary, but are included just in case.  There is an instruction booklet with it, but whoever gets it, I really don't feel like spending 30 e-mail explaining how it works.  You will have to figure that out on your own and make it work with your own brain.  OK, I could help just a bit, but I did not want to spend too much time explaining things step by step.  Free to anyone who want to mess with it, but it will be a challenge.

This is a Checkmate puzzle.  All the parts are there, except for the holly border that goes around the chess board on the top.  Also has an instruction booklet, but is not as far assembled as the last one.  There are lots of duplicate parts as well for this one just in case.  Oh, I should mention that these don't come with chess pieces, but I can tell you where to order them with magnets on the bottom to make the puzzle work.  Free to anyone who wants to mess with it, but it will require even more time to put together than the checkmate above.

Request left or right chopstick puzzleboxes.  both of these puzzles work, but are not glued together or sanded or lacquered.  They come with several sets of spare chopsticks.  Oh, and I do have the labels that went with these when first sold.  Since they are easily finished, I was hoping that whoever gets them might include and extra $10 or so when they pay for shipping.  I would fix and sell them myself, but just really want to start on my next project.   Originally, they sold for $120

Picture 6 - Left - cross puzzlebox.  It works almost 100 perfect, but has one area where a block wants to pinch.  I have sanded that area for a bit, but lost interest.  You have to glue sandpaper to an "L" shaped piece of wood to reach the area.  Otherwise, the puzzle works great.  I was wanting to get $50 for this puzzle if possible.  The originals sold for around $400 if I recall correctly.
Saved for Cubefan

On the Right is Stickman No.4 puzzlebox.  This box works, but the clutch in the middle sticks in an area.  I tried to sand it while the thing was together with an emery board, but to no avail.  IF the sticking clutch bothers you too much, the outer support rods will have to be unglued, the clutch sanded down a bit, and then reassembled again.  You can't put this one in the microwave due to the magnets, but an oven at 150 degrees for 10 minutes would do the trick to get the support rods off.  I don't recall if the box has any lee krasnow mineratures inside like the originals.  IT does have an instruction booklet.  I was hopeing to get around $80 for this one.  I say I would fix it myself, but I have been saying that for several years now.

Picture 7 - clock puzzleboxes - originally $380

Left - This one is up for grabs and it needs the long clock hand sanded where it meets the clockface so that it moves more freely.  It might also need to have some of the gears waxes to make it move a bit more smoothly.  Otherwise it is in perfect condition, but also includes instruction book and a bag of replacement parts that it probably will never need.  I was hopeing to get $60 for this one if anyone was interested.  Oh, and they have not been lacquered yet on both of them.

Picture 8  Ahh, the Stickman No 3.  This one was featured in Jerry Sluccums "The Ultimate Puzzles" hardback edition.  A wonderfully odd puzzle, but not one that I have patience to mess with any more.

LEft and right - both are the same and have instruction booklets.  I don't recall what is wrong with them, but I do know that calabrating the tension of the gears is a big pain that I don't care to address.  Calibration is done with tension of the brass screws and has to be done properly to get the center gear assemble to swing toggle and engage with the centripical motion of the main knob.  IT may also be that one of them has a sticky drawer.  I don't recall which one, so you are taking your chances, but sticky drawers can be fixed - right??  Their are no instruction booklets for these.  Jerry took my last one for pictures in his book, and I never got it back.  I am happy to part with these for $10 to whoever feels resorceful enough to fix them.  Oh, and they do come with lots of spare parts in case you need to change out parts.

Picture 9 - The Stickman No. 2 puzzlebox.

Wow these bring back memories.  The second puzzle I ever made.  I think there were 55 moves in order to get into 2 secret compartments.  A fine puzzle design if I do say so myself.  These have instruction booklets, but have somehow locked up.  Whover gets them will actually have to take them apart to see what the problem is.  There are no magnets inside, so you can microwave them soften the glue, and the instruction booklets will help you realize the way it is supposed to work.  Because these are not a quick fix, whoever feels up to the challenge of fixing them can pick one for the cost of shipping.

Picture 11 - Top middle and bottom - I don't recall the name of any of these puzzleboxes.  They are Eric Fuller boxes.  Honestly, they are in sad condition.  Panels have warped, and there is a piece that fell off of the one on the right that I never found.  Still, they may be fun to play with for anyone who wants them.

Picture 12 - Top - bottom and right - I don't know the name of any of these puzzles.  You may recognize them, but I am not into geometric puzzles, so I don't have a clue.  I do know that they looked cool when they were together and are all made of quality wood and craftmanship.  Originally sold on cubicdissection.  Frankly, I don't have the patience to put them back together again, but all the pieces are there.  Whoever wants them and thinks they can get them together can have them

Picture 13 - More puzzles that I could never get back together.  Somewhere in there is a tripple play and a mailbox slot packing puzzle.  The metal on is an Eric Fuller design, but I don't recall the name.  Again, free for whoever thinks they can get them together or does not have one already in thier collection.

Picture 14 - A collecton of cheap puzzles.  For ease sake, they should probably all go as a set, but there are two buttonhole puzzles in the bottom left and I don't see why someone needs two of them.  Free to anyone.  The bottom right one goes together to make a dog.

Picture 16 - I thought I would just include these pictures becuase they have come up in discussion lately.  Bottom left is my first attempt at making the onion puzzle box.  Chinney are you taking notes.  The bottom right are the outer pieces for the project that John and I were going to make a while back, but we did the domino puzzle instead.  Ackbarr this is the project that you are doing in your spare time.  The back two are piston generated wooden motors that I never used in a puzzlebox.

These are not available, they're simply pics to show some of Robert's possible future projects!
