Disregard the crappy look of it, it's only a rough prototype, I was using up some leftover scraps  Cheesy  It is in the shape of a 'Dodecahedron', however  Wink

Well, of course Mark was right, I just didn't want to let him off the hook that easy  Tongue
It's Stewart Coffin's 'Cluster Buster Experimental' # 47-X
 Here's a description from John Rausch;
"Obviously a Cluster Buster with spaces filled in to flatten the outside surfaces. That's all I know. Number 47X in Stewart's numbering system. "

Here's a couple more pics of it; Grin Bottom pic is Stewart's original  Cool

Documented...how?

There was one that sort of looks like this one in "Creative Puzzles of the World" and credited to STC, but he said he had no recollection of it.

So did you just reinvent it yourself, or did you have some additional info?

Yeah...when I said documented, I meant that John Rausch had taken a picture of one  Undecided

Well....first I was making a 'Seven Woods' out of scraps, but then thought I should fill it in to possibly turn it spherical   Roll Eyes ....of course, now you know where that went  Grin ....I didn't use any prism blocks just 6 sided center blocks and RP blocks to fill in the dimples, as it is there is 4 different pieces with two being the same...I'm pretty sure they could be modified to be all different... Wink  Like all the 'Cluster Buster' puzzles, very difficult to find the opening move  Cool

There is one other thing I should mention, in Stewart's 'Design Notes' he mentions; "Another variation is to round the outside, so that it has the shape of a spere with eight triangular indentations, model submitted March 5, 1974"  "suggested by Tom Atwater"

I really would like to make one  Grin
