Welcome Arthur

Just got the news that Arthur Haber has joined the forum, but he might be a little bit shy. Those of us such as Dave, Chinney and myself already know him. He has been collecting my items from the very beginning (wow what a long time). Anyway, just thought I would welcome this interesting jeweler from Florida to our little puzzle discussions formally, and perhaps poke him out of the shadows into participating in our little discussions as well.

Thanks Robert and John,
You have opened up a can of worms, if you want my insanity added to yours. It is an Honor to read the posts and get to know the people who have brought me a lifetime of pleasure as a collector. Perhaps, rather than being part of those that understands all the ins and outs of wood working, I'll watch from the sidelines a bit and stand in awe. With all respect and brown nosing forward, the folks here on the forum need to know that therir genius is truly appreciated. Not just by me, but the hundreds and likely thousands who have seen your pieces in my office. I always use these pieces as a kind of litmus test. Whose piece do they notice first? Do they have any interest at all? How long is their attention span?
I myself, cannot solve most of the pieces I own, but they bring me constant joy to look at, and I surrond myself everyday at all angles to see them. i make time, a few minutes each day, (in between my work and hobbies as a pinball collector), to pickup a piece, and give it another try. That darn guy Robert, keeps me perplexed ad nauseum!
Anyway thanks for the welcome, it is again, a humble experiance!

Are you sure that you pen guys don't feel overrun. We kinda took over everything. We are puzzle roaches. Once we get into the woodworks of your fourm, there is no getting rid of us.

Well said Roby,
I often feel like we've invaded and hijacked this forum from the pen guys, who have opened my eyes to their craft.
Welcome aboard Arthur.
Now you're here these fellas will probably not leave you alone. Nothing seems sacred, especially from that Roby and Canuck bloke!!! And watch out for Chinny - you never know where he'll strike. Are you awake Chinny?
Regards,

Oh no you don't!!! Once you are in you are in Art. You don't have to like it but you can't leave it!!!! Hahahahahahahahaha >
Dean, I can only , sorry, Mr. Dean
, I can only speak for myself and I don't feel that you guys being here is an invasion at all. I feel that it is welcome, deserved and brings forth another very artistic, ingenious and beautiful craft to a forum that is dedicated to a man whose ideal was to push the artistic limits of himself and others in the craft that he loved. To me, it all goes hand in hand.

Ho Ho Ho, welcome home Art,,,,hmmm we'll have to give him a new name,,,,
It will take you a while to read all the posts and draw your conclusions,,,
Like I AM NORMAL!, the rest are CRAZIES, esp Canuck, 446 Posts!, thats more than all the pen people put together!!
Roby has to be next, but I am wearing him down
This is a FUN site, where every Tom , Dick and Dave puts their 2 cents worth in, but you learn a lot ( of mistakes & laughter)
As you have all of StickMAN'S Puzzles, I will be honoured if you can place my name at the top of your Benefituries List
I will make it top priority to look after them for you
I think I am their chief comedy relief,,,,,at me, not ,,,with me
PS Dave assaults you!,,,,,Good, make that 3 fronts

It seems here on this board, Intelligence and insanity are interchangeable!
Thanks for the welcomes, and the knowledge that I have no time for this at all, but likely can't stay away!
Hopefully, something meaningful to contribute, if not, I'll just find ways to contribute to the torture.

Go ahead and assault Art on every front. Those of us who know him know that he can take it. Those of us who know him know that he can dish it out.
Hey, perhaps an area that you guys can help Art with is that he is contenplating the possibility of crafting puzzles out of metal for the jewelery industry. IF you have designs that could easily be reproduced and be acctractive as jewelery in metal, then give him the heads up.

Hmmmmm...very interesting! One puzzle item that might be of interest to Art is Tom Lensch's 'Heart Box', it's a coordinate motion puzzle box with three compartments that could contain jewellery such as rings, earrings, etc.....
I should add that those are rather old photos and the interior of the pockets are now lined in felt, and Tom still makes these in a variety of exotic woods...
