Post your newest work in this topic Wink

This is my 'Hurakan' designed by Ronald kint-Bruynseels, a neat variation on the Altekruse.  60 pieces of confusion, well sort of, for some people who shall remain nameless:P

Pieces are walnut and notched by Jerry McFarland Wink

Great puzzle - John.  That is Hurakan Huge!

Here are a couple photos of my latest - a relatively simple modification of one of Stewart Coffin's designs.  This one is made of Padauk and Maple - I tried some laminations which I have been thinking about for a long time.

I'm calling this puzzle Stella's Good Cents:

God you make me want to delve more into inlays.  I swear my next puzzle is going to have them.

That is absolutely Amazing Scott!!! Great work! Great wood combo, now I get to see the combo together as that is what I had planned on using for the outter cylinder on the tube maze puzzle.

Or is that your Alaska Bar number???

Thanks for the compliments, Steve, John, Rotert!  Sorry, no photos if the pieces, it would give too much away.  See, it's only a simple modification of another Coffin puzzle...  Smiley

Oh, BTW - Padauk and a lighter wood are tricky when finishing since the Padauk can "bleed" into the finish and sort of glaze the other wood in the finishing process.  If you others do use Padauk and a lighter wood in laminations, be sure to blow off the pieces really well with compressed air before finishing.  This will help, but not sure if the problem will be completely eliminated...

OK Roby, I think this is along  the lines of what you were looking for. Kinda funny, it's easier to make than it is to finish. Too much space to fill in with CA. Needless to say, this is the prototype and is by no means perfect. Roby, if this is what you were after and you like it, PM me your address and I will send it to you.  Cool
