Eagle Saved Me

Even now this is hard to talk about it, as it has been 3 years since this has happened
but it was only about 3 months before Eagle had left us that i tracked down the
vermin that need exterminating. I had a daughter 3 years ago that was a warm
loving girl that loved to cuddle and loved to be loved.
I have a different girl now.
She was going out with this piece of vermin, and that is the politest thing I can
call him. She was and is a good girl, and he wanted to sleep with my girl and she
said no. That was not good enough for him and he raped her.
It took a while but she confided in me as to what happened, one of the
things that made me mad enough to kill was he threw her down the stairs
and threw $20 at her saying that was what she was worth.
I told Eagle all this and how I found him, and was prepared to exact more
than my pound of flesh. He spoke at length about what a dumb son of a bitch
I would be and the consequences if I did what I had planned. He is now doing
jail time and I am trying to make a life for my daughter again.
I still have a daughter that won't let any male hug or touch her, a girl that will
scream if someone comes up behind her, one that cries each night when she
thinks I am not listening or watching over her. I hope one day I will get my old
daughter back, because I did love her giving me a hug, that I miss.
Eagle, in his own way, calling me all the names under the sun saying what a silly
boy I would be for doing what I had planned. Also I think he felt my pain, my
emptiness and anguish by the words of comfort that he also gave.
The thing was, he came on line and said whats wrong. I didn't even get hey
you Ugly SOB, it was if he knew and he was the only one to reach me. I
had a lot of emotions bottle up and as we talked Eagle took them one by one
and took the hatred, the revenge and the eye for eye attitude and kept me
out of jail.
I know the Eagle had wings, that night he wrapped them around me and
protected me, I am sure he was my Guardian Angel that night. Dani will be
19 this year, maybe this year I can give her a hug for her birthday. Thank
you Eagle, if it wasn't for you, Dani may not have had a father she could be
proud of. You would be proud of her mate, she has graduated and working
full time. I am so proud of my little girl, in awe of her courage and strength
and I get to see it each day because you appeared this night and saved me.

Wow, what an impact. I knew there was a deep story between the two of you, but never knew how deep. I'm praying you get that hug.

Lou, I am sorry if this shakes some readers up. It was not the intention, but to show people
that never knew Eagle, or thought they knew Eagle, the Eagle I knew. The one that could
be hard as nails but be as soft and caring as well. It was a hard thing to tell last night, but
I had to. I hope we hear many more stories about Eagle to come. So you know now why
Eagle meant so much to me Lou. I am a man of few words Lou, but when I speak I always
try to have meaning. Yes, I am praying for that day to Lou.

Thank you so much for having the courage to share that with us. It is such an ugly/beautiful story. I too will be praying for you to get that hug that you long for.

I'm a a loss for words, you and your daughters courage are what we need more of in this world and as to Eagle's role I think I speak for most that knew him we would expect nothing else from him his gruff exterior held a pussycat inside.
