Well most work is done at the tablesaw so it only makes sense that it should be your primary focus when it comes to making specialized jigs and such for cutting puzzle piecess....one of the most important considerations is vibration.  Eliminating any possibility of excess vibration will greatly improve your cuts.

One of the first things to reduce vibration is replacing the standard pulley belt to a 'Link' belt available just about anywhere.  This modification alone will drastically improve the saw cut.

Changing the cast pulleys to machined versions will also help improve vibration issues.

Saw blade stiffeners are also widely available and should be a must have, on any tablesaw, I've always wondered why they don't come with new saws.

These are some of the most important things, if you think of anything else to add please do.... Wink

For me it is important to have the blade shaft supported on both sides of the blade with proper bearings in plumber blocks.

Overhanging blades tend to vibrate a heck of a lot more.

Hi VisExp

What's your name?

Attached a pdf showing an overhanging saw.  (Use your imagination and see the blue glass disk as the sawblade)

The shaft is the piece of round metal going through the center of the bldae

Plumber block is the two Dark blue item which is the name used for that type of bearing holder.

What I'm saying is the the blade should be between the two plumber / plummer block for better stability.

You're welcome to try one like a pig in mud.  Grin   Made that a few years ago thinking that I'm going to build my own customized saw. Embarrassed Embarrassed

Lucky I still had it to illustrate the point, obfuscate the issue, enlighten the dark corners of some mind.  Maybe it was just to blow my own whistle a bit.  It's nice sometimes!!!!  Shocked Huh? Roll Eyes Grin Grin
